Ice Hockey is Fun for Kids! Learn the skills you need to play the game.

Each class works on skating, agility and stick handling skills.

Hockey Skills

• Full Ice Surface
• Ready Position
• One Foot Glides
• Glides Around Corners
• Controlled Stop
• Controlled Turn
• Forward Stride
• Forward Crossovers
• Backward C-cuts
• Backward Crossovers
• Stepturn
• Backward Stop

*Skaters should have gloves, stick and helmet. You can use any type of helmet.

About our classes…

Technical Stuff:

Please check specific class times to be certain your class is offered at the time you want.

When you register for class lessons in the Belmont Iceland Skating School, you get:

• A weekly 1/2 hour lesson from a Belmont Iceland professional;
• A free public session the day of class;
• A punchcard good for 3 free additional public sessions because you need to practice! (Freestyle & Stroking Classes receive a freestyle punchcard);
• Free skate rental the day of class and when you use your punch card;
• A performance progress report during the series.
• Free use of the party room when you have your birthday party at Belmont Iceland

For the First Class:

• Please arrive 15 minutes before class begins
• Bring gloves, warm jackets, water proof pants, and socks that come above the ankle.
• Please determine your child's street shoe size ahead of time.

Make-ups and Pro-Rated Fees:

• We do allow make-up classes.  However, you do have to make-up the class before your current session ends. No make-ups during the last week of class. No credits for missed classes.
• We will pro-rate class fees if you are going to miss 3 or more classes. However, if we pro-rate your fee, you will not receive the 3 free additional sessions.

Value: All in all, not even counting the lessons, you get a value of between $90.00 and $100.00, based upon regular admission and skate rental prices. When you add in the additional value of the lessons from our fun and friendly expert staff, you gotta admit, this is a great value:

A $15.00 processing fee will be charged for all refunds. An additional fee of $15.00 per week will be charged once classes have started. There will be no refunds after the second week of classes. Sorry, no exceptions. Classes are subject to change.
